This set of tools works with a dial indicator to precisely set the injection timing on Bosch VE -EP fuel injection pumps. The timing is set by measuring the plunger height at a specified crankshaft position, usually TDC.
This process is often overlooked, but is the only way to ensure correct pump timing and there are still many vehicles and engines in service today using this pump and those manufactured under licence form Bosch, i.e. KIKKI, NIPPONDENSO, CAV ROTODIESEL. With many European and Japanese applications.
