The DM-BREAKOUT-BOX is designed to connect to the OBD-11, 16 pin diagnostic port fitted to passenger and light commercial vehicles from 1996 to present.
The unit is fitted with 16, 4mm standard female banana ports. Each port is numbered to identify it to its corresponding obd-11 connector pin and each port
also has an led which illuminates to indicate when a signal is detected which will indicate which protocols are used and also whether power and ground are present.
An in-built volt meter will also indicate the level of supply voltage available from the vehicle, which is critical for diagnostics and programming.
The DM-BREAKOUT-BOX is also fitted with an additional 16 pin female connector to allow for direct connection of your scan tool, it is good practice to use these tools together, the information available from the breakout box and the ability to simply connect a multimeter or a scope can save valuable time and the frustration of having
to disconnect and reconnect your other diagnostic tools.
