On direct injected BMW engines, maintaining a perfect seal at the injector tip is critical to prevent blow-by, cylinder compression loss, and misfires. 
Whenever injectors are removed, the Teflon sealing rings must be replaced. 
Removing the old, hardened seals without damaging the injector can be a very painful job.

There are two major parts to this kit: 
The pliers are specifically engineered to cleanly slice off old PTFE seals in one effortless motion, eliminating the risk of scratching the injector nozzle using other methods.

The second major part is the tapered tool that will allow the repairer to expand the Teflon Compression Seal over the GDI Injector Tip, while the compression tool will tighten the Seal into place. 
The tapered tool is specific to thinner Bosch GDI  injectors having a smaller tip (5.9mm) than the standard .294 size
