Insulation Piercing Probes 4mm - Set of 2 Clips Make contact with insulated wires without cutting or stripping insulation. Connect to a multimeter or automotive oscilloscope using the banana jack socket at the rear. The socket accepts all shrouded and un-shrouded 4mm banana plug leads. Tested to 60V DC. The probes have a 'V' shape spring loaded clamp to hold the wire centred and enable the piercing needle to pierce through the insulation and make contact with the conductor inside. The probes can handle wire from 22-14 AWG. The tiny piercing hole can easily be resealed following diagnostics by the use of a varnish or insulation tape.
