This tool is designed to preserve the vehicle’s memory in the event of battery disconnection, for instance when changing the battery.
It simply plugs into the OBD 11 port found in vehicles from 1996 on, and connects to any 12volt supply, a jumper pack or spare battery at the drivers footwell.
An audible and visual warning will alert you to successful connection and an in-line fuse is used to protect the tool from excessive current draw in the event of mistaken operation of high current devices, lights, starter etc.

Used with care this device will enable you to service the vehicle’s battery without the requirement to carry out multiple resets such as steering angle sensor, throttle, window and sunroof, transmission and engine control adaptations and loss of fault codes and mode 6 data, not to mention the critical clock and audio memory.
