The Micsig t-book mini ATO1104 is a 4 channel 100mhz handheld oscilloscope which has been developed for automotive use.
It features an 8” touch screen and large battery capacity for all day use. It also features a one button set up for rapid hook up and testing and can store and recall the last set up.
It has a large memory for storage of waveforms, and a large buffer to allow for detailed waveform analysis. This instrument also features serial data decoding.
In addition to vertical and horizontal measurement cursors, there also are selectable
angularity cursors, which would be of particular interest for those who use it in cylinder pressure testing.
An extensive set up and measurement menu is built into the scope as well as a detailed quick start guide. There are far more features than can be mentioned here as this is an absolutely incredible tool that can be used by new techs due to its ease of set-up and also master technicians who can explore its vast potential.
We have developed three levels of accessory kits to allow for flexibility and
expansion as your requirements increase.
Level 1. Basic
This gives you basic test leads and probes to allow you to carry out voltage testing on all systems and a HT lead Pick-Up for initial ignition analysis.
This would cover the majority of tests, e.g., starting, charging, power and ground, sensors and actuators etc.
This kit allows for advanced current waveform capture and analysis. This gives you the ability to test current demand in motors and actuators, relative compression testing, ignition coil current ramping and fuel pump operation, just to name a few possibilities.
The break-out box (bob) gives you the ability to connect directly to the OBD11 plug for communications analysis.
The six way break-out leads allow for universal connection into harness plugs such as sensors and actuators, this can be useful on fragile connectors where back-probing may be impossible, and piercing cables is unwise, or it is desirable to test multiple channels at one time.
Laptop based scopes are great, but the convenience of having a standalone, hand- held oscilloscope means the ability to quickly grab it and use it, without having to set up laptops and software.
A picture is worth a thousand words and that is what the Micsig will display for you, it just takes the time and will to learn.
There is a vast amount of information available including libraries of correct waveforms, diagnostic processes and training. The oscilloscope is now a mainstream requirement and will become more important as new technologies find their way into our workshops.
The Micsig ATO1104 is a rugged and versatile addition to your Diagnostic arsenal.
